trapaniInterior Design | Photography The client wanted an iconic space that would draw crowds into the design and get lost in a moment of time. Inspired by early 20th century glamourous interiors, Trapani needed to impact the fiercely competitive F&B scene in Kuwait. The brief was to create a story of discovery between a grandmother and grand daughter who had never met. The space of time between them would create Trapani, through old photos, antiques and heirlooms. The grandmother had passed on and left a trunk in her will for her daughter, thus the brief started to mold the fusion of nostalgia and modernism. The architect took inspirations from French and Italian travels to bring a modern interpretation to Milanese communal gardens and French Baroque finishes through the use of wired mesh and three dimensional illustrations. The fusion of different materials slowly layers the dining experience. |
